Our Growing Edge January 2015

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, and a very happy new year to all!

I know it has been a while, but my resolution this January is getting back to the things I love, among them running this blog. To kick things off, I’ll be posting something brand new and delicious this week. First, though, I’d like to invite you to check something off your foodie bucket list with me. It is, after all, the new year!

This January I have the pleasure of hosting Our Growing Edge, a community gathering of delicious food-related posts. Our Growing Edge isn’t a competition– it’s more of a group effort to learn, experiment, and expand our horizons. To enter, all you must do is blog about a new food-related experience that you have had, a new food challenge that you have been meaning to tackle, or a goal that you have been meaning to re-do. No pressure, though– as Genie, the genius behind this event, says on her site, “It could be easy, like tasting a new food, or difficult, like cooking a life-long nemesis recipe. It could be building or growing something like an edible garden, or successfully preserving food. As long as it is food-related and new to you, you can share your newly learned knowledge with the group.”

Given my position as host, I am pleased to cordially invite you all to try something new and enter a post! At the end of the month, I’ll do a round-up of all of the delicious challenges we have tackled together. To join, click the following link and add something to the collection:

There are a some rules to the group, but the are few and easy:

  1. Your post must contain the phrase Our Growing Edge and have the Our Growing Edge logo, at right. You can put this information anywhere in your post.
  2. Your entry must link to me as the host and to Genie’s master page.
  3. You can enter with any new food experience as long as it is new to you.
  4. You can submit as many entries as you like, as long as the posts have been written and submitted in January.

If you have any questions about Our Growing Edge, please feel free to visit Genie’s page about it here.

I hope you all can make it your new year’s resolution to try something new, and to add an account of your challenge to this month’s collection. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with. I have a feeling it is going to be a delicious month!
